i know we need to change the timescale for DATA03 can anyone guide into how to do this please.

No, it only concerns your Historic Volumes. In Beginning Inventory and Shipping Metric you do not import any historic data.

open your DAT03 module and go to the blueprint.
From here, you can change Time Scale and Time Range, see screenshot below:

for this level2 sprint 2,for DATA03 i made the time range to model calender. is this the right approach
your model calendar starts with Current Year FY20 and you do not have any past years since it is not really needed. This will help to decrease the size of your model.
In DAT03 you need to import historic Volumes from FY19, therefore your time range should include FY19 and FY20. Otherwise, you will not be able to import your data successfully.
