Subsidiary Views - Ratio Formula

Options

Hi Team,

In both the Subsidiary views training video and in the Planual it mentions that Subsidiary views should be used where a ratio needs to be in the same module but doesn't full require full dimensionality

Can anyone provide an example of this I'm I can't picture it

Thanks!

Mark

    @MarkTurkenburg ,

    Hopefully the below helps...Essentially, it is using the summary method of Ratio (instead of Sum, Max, etc.)

    Thanks - that makes sense

    Always helps to see an example!

  • Basically, unlike filters, you can't reference a line item that is not in the same module for either the numerator or denominator of the Ratio summary method so you have no option but to include it as a subsidiary view (if it doesn't require the same dimensions of the module)

  • Thanks for the detail @einas.ibrahim !
