Permit users to store rich text

Our requirement is for a team of users to edit text narrative for report pages, without being able to modify the overall page layout or content other than their text card.

Option 1: Currently one needs to be a Page Builder to enter rich text on text cards.  Provide an option for (non Page Builder) users to enter rich text in text format line items.  This will give users ability to control formatting of their text content without being able to change how the overall page is formatted.

Option 2: Differentiate security between different page builders, so that one page builder can create a page template and another can apply that template and (only) edit content of a text card within that template.

  • Great news this feature is now available!

End users can now apply rich text formatting to editable text in grids and field cards. This includes the following formatting: Bold, Italics, Underline, strikethrough, text alignment, bullet and numbered list! Now end users can add some commentary to a report and format key areas to highlight summaries or key points.

Please see the following anapedia pages for further details:

Please note that this is a page builder enabled setting which must first be configured in the right hand panel before end users can apply rich text. Additionally, rich text is only supported in the User Experience and report page PDF exports. Once enabled, text you add to the card will render as raw HTML in models and other exports. https://help.anaplan.com/configure-a-grid-card-c4c27b0f-bb99-4fc8-b2c4-405498fcd9ad
