Copy and paste items from a numbered list with duplicate display names into more than one cell

Currently an error is returned if you copy an item from a numbered list, in which there is another item within that list that shares the same display name, and the user attempts to paste this into more than one cell. 

 

The workaround for this is to create a new line item, enter a formula, find the code for the corresponding item you are looking for, and then pasting this code into more than one cell. This method is unintuitive, cumbersome, and can be difficult to implement. Copy down/across also works, however this means that many more cells may be filled in with a value than the user wants or needs.

 

The user should be able to paste these values with non-unique display names into more than one cell, just like copy down/across, but with more control over which cells these values are pasted into.
