In the configuration of your G3 list, have you assigned the G2 list as its parent?
Like so:
If not, this should resolve your issue. It will likely require deleting all the items in your current G3 list prior to assigning the parent in the configuration and then reloading them with the parent mapped in both the configuration and import.
