Version label question

Think I already know the answer to this question but just wanted to double check with more experienced users. We are operating with forecast versions as a list and a version selector as a system module, screenshot shown below. This works fine, other than ideally in the report we would have the Version 1 and Version 2 labels dynamically change in the report, as users select - is there any way of doing this at all?

I tend to have the selector showing at the top of the screen in any of dashboard pages but very often users will export the report to Excel and of course it only has "Version 1" and "Version 2" as the labels.
