Any tips for reviewing the Model Map?

I was wondering if anyone could share with me any tips that they use when exploring a new model using the model map please?

Whilst I understand the basic functionality of using the model map, I am finding it very difficult to get a good understanding of the model and the relevant modules involved, because the model is very large and complex and the model map is very slow at responding.

Any advice or suggestions of approaches that others use to get an overview of a new model or any available resources would be greatly appreciated

Best way to explore the prebuilt model is going by dashboards i.e output reports then drill down till input & try to build understanding with process flow. There is no process or any path. Need to invest lot time and be patient while explore old models.

Thanks Ashutosh I was worried that I was spending more time than necessary working through everything manually and mapping out my own process flow so that is reassuring
