NUX - Allow users to filter using other modules AND see/remove applied filters

Problem Statement

Problem #1

Unlike classic, NUX has no way for end-users to apply filters using a separate module with common dimensions (e.g. a central time filter or list attribute module). The filters must be available locally within the module which severely limits the reusability of centralised modules.

Example of existing classic functionality,

However, page builders can apply these filters when building cards, so the functionality exists.. just not for end users.

Problem #2

On top of that, there's also no way for an end-user to know what default filters have been applied to a card/module which severely limits auditability.

Again, a page builder can apply/see the filters in the card design view, but no-one can see the default filters when reviewing the card itself or remove them if they're trying to delve into the raw detail.

Example of existing classic functionality,

Solutions

In both cases, the existing 'Filter' screen in NUX should be enhanced to both enable the equivalent classic functionality AND also give the necessary disclosure to the user so they know what they're looking at.

The use of 'My Pages' for users to build their own version for ad-hoc analysis is more of a workaround than solution given we can already deliver this experience in classic without any additional overhead/governance.

Otherwise, allowing users to remove any preset filters would also be useful so they can interrogate the raw information (which could be controlled within the existing suite of options).

For example, add an additional toggle to 'Allow users to remove default filters',

Given this functionality already exists in classic and partially exists in NUX, I hope it's something we can get some traction on.

Cheers,

L
