It would be super helpful to have the timestamp as part of the export file name in Anaplan, especially when clients run reports every day during the budget season.
Is it possible to do? And do automatically?
As per me, I don't think we have any option to change the file names dynamically or any creative way to do that. It always exports by the static name. Inside file we can give the column called timestamp but not as a export file name.
ok. Thank you.
Hi,
We can now do this with Anaplan CloudWorks by setting up Exports Integrations.
All we have to do is - keep the "Overwrite File" checkbox unticked and it creates/drops exports with timestamps so they are unique.
@Dikshant I would like to have the timestamp as a line item/column in the exported file (so not necessarily in the file name). Regarding what you are saying, "Inside file we can give the column called timestamp but not as a export file name", do you mean that we can automatically include the timestamp in the exported file?
It seems that it is currently not possible, as per this request:
But I'm curious about your opinion.
Thank you!
Timestamp can automatically updated using 3rd party integration tool like Snap logic, Informatica Cloud, that has in built expressions to derive current datetime automatically. But as we know Anaplan does not have any in built function to derive current date time.
Ok clear, thanks @Dikshant!
Hi ALL, In my model, I have Need stored at a 'D3' RS Group level. I need to use this Need in another module at the G5 Location level. I currently have a mapping module where each G5 Location maps to a D3 RS Group. This Module uses D2 Role as dimension. but the line item I've to find the RS Group (Find D3 RS Group = 'FIND…
I couldn't find any formula to do this, but I want a way to put on the page/grid the connection details. This is so I know what connection I'm in rather than going into Connections details to see it. Is there an XL3 formula to return this value?
Hi all, I, as an Anaplan workspace administrator, am working together with a Fabric team to export data from Anaplan to Fabric via Anaplan API and Postman. We have a problem where all Anaplan exports are visible in Postman but when trying to connect to SOME of them, we get message "404, Not found". Below screenshot showing…
