Workflowでタスクの担当者をモジュールから選択した場合に「完了チェックを有効化」という設定がありますが、ユースケースが分かりません。
階層タスクやグループタスクを使ったワークフローで、モジュール内に完了チェック用のラインアイテムを作り設定を有効にしてみましたが、フロー開始から完了の前後で何も変化がありませんでした。
完了チェックを有効にして、ラインアイテムがtrueになるのはどういったケースでしょうか？
この機能は、”完了チェック"がtrueにならない限りタスクの"完了"ボタンを押せないようにする機能です。
例えば、必要項目がすべて入力された場合に"完了チェック"をtrueとするロジックを組んでおきます。すると、必須項目に空欄がある場合は完了チェックがfalseのままであるため、タスクを完了することができません。
このようにこの機能を活用することで、不完全なデータが次のステップに進んでしまうことを防ぐことができます。

ワークフローオーナーであるご自身にタスクを割り振っていませんか？
ワークフローオーナーには、完了チェックがtrueとなっていなくてもタスクを完了させられる権限があります。そのため完了チェックが作用しなかったのではないかと推察します。
可能であれば他のユーザーにタスクを割り振り、再度検証してみることをおすすめします。

再度他のユーザーで検証してみたところ、「タスクの完了」が非活性になりエラーメッセージが表示されました。
