How can I understand which columns are needed in an upload file?

I am looking at uploading a flat file and getting the error of "property-based import has one of they key properties unmapped - cannot proceed".

So I was thinking, how can I understand exactly what the headers should be in an excel for flat file? is there a way of finding this in modules? e.g the columns should be xxx;yyy;zzz

When you see the error:

"Property-based import has one of the key properties unmapped – cannot proceed"

it means that your module line item names don’t match the column names in your file. This usually happens when the file format has changed and your previous mapping no longer works.

How to avoid this error

• Keep template files for all data uploads in your documentation.
• Add screenshots of correct file formats to your data upload UX pages so users know exactly what the upload file should look like.

How to fix it

1. Open both your target module and the upload file.
2. Compare the column names in the file with the line item names in the module one by one.
3. If the file is wrong → correct the file.
4. If the file is correct → fix the action mapping.
5. Go to Actions → Import Data Sources, select your file, reupload it, and re-map the column headers to the correct line items.
6. Save the action and try the upload again.
