Ability to archive versions in a model

Desription of the enhancement:

We would like the ability to 'archive' versions within a model, so that we can save the data and look back at it later, but it will not take up space.

Note that version subsets will not fully meet this requirement, because if you remove a version from a subset in a module, you will lose data entered against that version.
