Format Date Fields so as to include the Day Name

Currently in Anaplan there is no way to change the format of the date to include the Short name of the day such as Mon for Monday without creating a custom timescale as a numbered list and then defining it in the Description of the Item. I have an instance where I need to provide more details on a date for the scheduling of orders in a Supply Chain model and have had to create a custom timescale to achieve the user requirements.
