Large Ragged Hierarchy in Anaplan

Hello,

 

Can some one help me on the best practices to follow on large Ragged hierarchy in Anaplan.
i know that top down allocation will not happen properly in ragged hierarchy, Apart from these is there any constraints related to maintain the large ragged hierarchy in Anaplan.

    Ragged hierarchy have many issues for one advantage:

    - you can't LOOKUP the value of a parent

    - you can't do a module on a specific level

    - harder to defined display name / ID and codes for each items (the parents)

     

    one advantage: looks better in reporting/usage as you don't need placeholder items

     

    What we often see is that the model logic is build on a composite hierarchy and a ragged hierarchy is created off it and just used for some reports.
