Having Ability to start with Collapsed view of Hierarchy is one of key requirement for many end users. This gives end users a capability to start a report with collapsed view and only drill down on need.
Our Planner also suffers from the current dashboard hierarchy selection drop down list.
It would be better if the list starts from the highest parent level, and let user expand lower child list as they wish.
Please consider this on your roadmap, Model builder has to build so many filters around it because of this, and filter is negatively impacting on the model performance.
