Bulk Copy Years

Hello everyone,

I would like to move all the data in my model by a few years (Write all data from 2020 to 2023, 2021 to 2024…). For that I tried using Bulk Copy, but I can only copy individual months there, not entire years (if I select this accordingly, the button is greyed out). This is therefore a problem, as some modules use years as the time scale, which are not copied if I do this month by month. Bulk Copy parents of other dimensions seem to work fine. Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

Best regards Finn

Hey, You have to create bulk copy actions for months & years separately.

Create one bulk copy action for the year by selecting, let's say, FY24 to FY25.

Create multiple bulk copy actions to move data for months.

    BLUKCOPYACT01: Jan24 → Jan25

    BLUKCOPYACT02: Feb24 → Feb25

    BLUKCOPYACT03: Mar24 → Mar25

And club all actions into a single process, to run it all at once.

  • @geometry dash lite said if your model has complex dependencies or specific constraints, you may need to consider your model's architecture and additional steps for a successful data move. Always follow best practices and consider working with Anaplan support or consulting services for assistance with complex model manipulations.
