ALM- How and why anaplan saves data in module after replacing list with new subset of same list?

edited December 2024 in Modeling

My module contains 5 dimensions, and I am replacing one of the list subset by another list subset of the same list, I have tested it using ALM, but I would like to understand how anaplan ensures even after changing the list subset anaplan preserves input value in that module.

I have updated list subset first in test production model before syncing revision tag to replace the dimension.

    Hi @swapnil_J
I tried to reproduce your question.

A4 list has two subsets: SS:Expenses and SS:Revenues

Dimension of List Subset module is SS:Expenses. We have numbers: 200, 450, 999, and 1111.

I then changed the dimension to SS:Revenues, and the values zeroed out.

What am I missing in your question? Can you please clarify?

  • @seymatas1 anaplan will save data when you replace one subset by another, but new subset should have at least some matching records with previous one
