2025 Recertification
What if I certified for the first time in 2025? Do I need to recertify again this year?
No. After our system update on July 8, your certification will be automatically extended through December 31, 2026. In addition, your certification will be upgraded to the Professional level (rather than Associate).
Do I need to recertify if I initially certified before 2025?
Yes. Unless you’ve received a message confirming that you are part of an opt-out group, you will need to recertify before December 31, 2025 to maintain your certification status.
Do I need to take multiple recertification exams?
No. You only need to take one exam, based on your current certification level. For example, if you're a Certified Master Anaplanner, you'll only need to complete the Certified Master Anaplanner Recertification exam.
What if I'm in the middle of Level 3? How should I proceed?
If you’re currently working through Level 3 or have already completed the model build, you should continue and complete it. Your progress will still count toward certification.
To finalize your Solution Architect certification, you’ll take a new proctored exam through Webassessor. Registration instructions will be shared in the Solution Architect course in the Anaplan Academy.
Important: If you do not complete your Solution Architect certification by the end of 2025, you’ll need to pass a short, open-book Certified Model Builder recertification exam to retain your credential.
I'm a Certified Master Anaplanner, what do I need to do to recertify this year?
As in previous years, Certified Master Anaplanners must complete both the Technical Requirement and the Contribution Activity Requirement to maintain their certification.
There are two key changes this year:
- The Technical Requirement is now only required every two years.
- The Technical Requirement has been replaced with a proctored exam.
Why should I get Recertified?
Why recertify?
The opportunity to recertify for free with a 60-minute exam is only available through December 31, 2025. After that, anyone who lets their certification lapse will need to restart the full, time-consuming certification process and pay the exam fee. Recertifying now is a faster and more cost-effective option, as Anaplan is covering the cost for all recertifications this year.
What is different about the recertification process?
Recertification now requires passing an exam that covers updated platform best practices, model building standards, and information on recent product updates. The exams are designed to assess the competencies expected of current Anaplan professionals.
How long does the recertification exam and preparation take?
Each recertification exam takes 60 minutes to complete. We recommend spending one to two hours reviewing the mock exam and exam guide before attempting a proctored exam. Recertification requires significantly less time and effort than completing the full certification process.
What happens if I do not recertify by December 31, 2025?
If you do not recertify by December 31, 2025, your certification will lapse. To regain certification, you must complete the full initial certification process.
For Solution Architects, this includes resubmitting an application, building and submitting a Level 3 model, and passing the full certification exam. This process takes more than 50 hours and requires payment of the exam fee. Recertifying before the deadline maintains certification status with minimal effort.
