Generate Code for Assign function - similar to display name attribute

It would be nice to have a functionality which can generate code / auto-populate code, just like how a display name is populated. A property, specifying the code attribute could be useful and reduce the effort needed to create actions and line items to generate code. 

When we create an item using the assign functionality, the codes are not populated and we would have to create the line items and necessary actions to populate the code. If, this could be achieved through a property based, just like the display name, then this would be certainly reduce the effort and also eliminate redundant efforts needed to achieve this.
