Have to design a model with L5 hierarchy but Business says sometimes they might have an input at a level below for some regions.

So should I be creating L6 or create a separate list and link it the values to Its level 5/parent in some other way around.

You can create a numbered list and assign its parent as L5. Create a Display Name Property in the list. You can ask client to create the L6 level by themselves as you are not aware of L6 and when they will need it. If you are using NUX you can find Create Form Action under Actions Card. Create a form that prompts user to input Display Name, Assign parent and create a module with L6 list as dimension and an Input line item so you can add this module in your form for your users to fill in Input for L6.

If you are using Classic dashboard you have Create action under other action in action tab. You can Publish this action on your dashboard with the Input module at L6 level.

  • @megha09 Thanks a lot. It does help.

  • Hi @snigdhakapila ,

Based on your question creating L6 or create a separate list and link it the values to Its level 5/parent, I would suggest to go for creating L6 parented by L5 as this will give you a consolidated view to the user directly and will be easy to align the business based on hierarchy.

Creating a separate will be an extra effort and space for creating a mapping module which can be easily handled just by adding L6.

    Hope this helps!
