Currently Workflow has to be started manually. Would like to schedule a Cloudworks task that would initiate a workflow
Agreed! Would be nice to be able to link a "trigger" to start a workflow. For example, if someone run's an action to manually upload a file, it would be nice if the workflow approval process would automatically start without a Workflow admin having to intervene and manually start it. Similarly, would be nice to have any automated API start a workflow.
To add further clarity on request: Allow any Anaplan Action or Process (weather using a button on a page or via any integration, regardless of User access status) to trigger a workflow template automatically without Workflow Admin having to manually trigger. (Model builders would need to build appropriate security around this action using roles).
Helloπ Just a question: is Workflow nre functionality available with Polaris engine?
Thanks in advance for you help!
We are testing workflow and while it has some great potential, it s showing quickly limits as people today dont want to spend time launching manual workflows as BUA (though the ability to run it manually is required), they need the workflow to start on itself based on an automated trigger
@david.savarin are you saying that currently workiflow luanch is manual Only? I thought it could be triggered by other action/scheduled.
Thanks :)
@FrankPau : if it exists, I couldnt find it !
Agreed - We need to be able to utilize the scheduler in Cloudworks as a trigger, or we need a native scheduler embedded in Workflow like how you can set up a recurring meeting in your email. Without this, there is still value, but it is diminished.
we especially need besides the scheduler to be able to include cloudworks integrations into the workflows
In case anyone finds this thread looking for a way to schedule workflows (like I just did!), the ability to schedule Workflows is available when you start one from a template. The below screenshot is from this blog post. I don't know about event-based or API triggers, but I wonder if including model actions/processes in the setup of a Workflow template would satisfy some of that requirement.
Now I can combine grids in the user interface, it would be useful to be able to retain any row totals and/or sub totals when I filter on a List or Text formatted column. In the example below, if I filter on Spread=Even, I lose the sub-totals for the numeric monthly data by Entity.
Hello, We need the ability to apply both summary methods in the same line item in the Polaris engine as we do in the Classic engine as soon as possible, please! Thanks.
Problem: Not able to combo modules within a Grid where you start with a module with a full list, then try to combo with a subsetted module of that same list. Example: When creating a Combo Grid with a Properties module (full list dimension) and a Calculation module (subset of the same list dimension), you are unable toβ¦
