One to many mapping

Hi,

I have a requirement where i want to realign/ redistribute the Sales History from 1 SKU to many SKUs. Lets say, i have SKU A with 1000 units sales history. I now need to realign 400 and 300 units from SKU A to SKU B and SKU C, who have 500 and 200 units sales history of their own, respectively.

So after the redistribution, SKU A will have only 300 units left. SKU B will have 500 + 400 = 900 units and SKU C will have 200 + 300 = 500 units of sales history.

I currently have reporting module with SKU A, B, C along with thir Sales History numbers but no mechanism to realign.

Could you please help?

Do you just want manual adjustments, where users will add or remove the numbers? Or you want to track each transaction of that has been added or removed from each SKU? How are you visualizing it right now?

@Dikshant We want to first create mappings of SKU A to other SKUs like B or B & C (Single or multiple mappings). After that the user will enter how much forecast needs to be redirected to mapped SKUs.

Redistribution logic can be implemented in your data pipeline or ETL process (e.g., using SQL, Python, or within a planning tool like Anaplan or SAP IBP).

Store both original and adjusted sales values to maintain transparency.

Based on your description, here's how you can solve the issue:

User Input for SKU Mapping(SKU Mapping): Map SKU A to SKUs B and C.
Input Numbers for SKU Units to Distribute(SKU Units to distribute): Enter the units for each SKU B and C.
Summing Up SKU Units(Distibute Sum): Create a line item that sums up the SKU B and C Units to distribute based on the SKU mapping. This will give you the total units for SKU A that you want to transfer.
Final SKU Calculation(Final SKU): Use a formula to check if the summed-up numbers are not equal to 0. If they aren't, subtract from SKU A; otherwise, add the units to SKU A along with the SKU Units to Distribute.
