In as much detail as possible, describe the problem or experience related to your idea. Please provide the context of what you were trying to do and include specific examples or workarounds:

For management and board reporting, we need to present % variances into bps (a unit of measurement equal to 1/100th of 1 percent). We can add suffix in the number format in Anaplan which is great but to make it right we need to multiply the variance % by 10,000. For example, a 0.03% variance will need to be reported as 3bps. We can use the suffix in anaplan but it will show as 0.03bps which is not correct.

How often is this impacting your users?

daily/monthly

Who is this impacting? (ex. model builders, solution architects, partners, admins, integration experts, business/end users, executive-level business users)

Executive-level business users, Board, CFO, Finance

What would your ideal solution be? How would it add value to your current experience?

In the Number Scale we have the thousands and millions, are we able to add x10,000?

Please include any images to help illustrate your experience.

  • Create a new line item where you multiply the by 1000x and add the bps suffix.

  • Thanks MJM. Adding a new line item to format/scale numbers increases the model size and calculation. Anaplan has a UX functionality to scale the numbers to millions and thousands, I am hoping it will be a quick change to scale to bps.

@drift boss Regards, MJM. It is possible to expand the size of the model and the computation by adding a new line item to the format/scale numbers. There is a user experience capability in Anaplan that allows the numbers to be scaled to millions and thousands; I am expecting that scaling to bps will be a straightforward adjustment.
