NEED HELP ON LOOKUP

Hello,

Good Day!

Need some professional help on how I can replicate the weeknum function from Excel to Anaplan. I am relatively new to this platform.

I have a module where I should be able to get the Peak Week from a date value (Peak Date).

» So it's like the Weeknum function using the 'Peak Date Mid" value.

I have another module which contains different weeks and corresponding range of such week as shown below:

It should be that when the Peak Date Mid value falls within the range of a specific week, it should return the Peak Week.

Note: That my Target Module is not dimensioned by T2 Week.

Hoping someone can help, I'm really stressed out by this. :(

Kind Regards,

CCSamson

@ccsamson is there a specific reason that you are using a custom "T2 Week" time list rather than using Anaplan's native time dimension as per highlighted fields in yellow below for the module "SYS06 Time Settings - Peak Week"? At any rate, to get to the final result you require, you will need to create a Day Period system module, e.g. "SYS05 time Settings - Day". In that Day module you will map what Week Period or "T2 Week" each day maps to. Would really be easier if you just use Anaplan's native time dimension but don't really know the constraints you as to the reason for the use of the custom time list.

Hello @TristanS, thanks! I used it since our Fiscal Year starts in May. However, I’m unsure how to configure Anaplan’s native time dimensions so that it starts in May while still labeling the beginning of the fiscal year as Week 18 instead of Week 1.

  • Already Created a Day Mapping Module, and it already works

  • Hi @ccsamson,

Using dynamic/custom time instead of native time has its advantages and disadvantages.

One advantage is that you can create and manage subsets to reduce module sizes.

However, there are some disadvantages, like not being able to use certain time functions such as OFFSET.

If you set May as your fiscal year start in Anaplan's native time, the system automatically numbers the first week as Week 1, and this can’t be changed.

However, you can customize week names by removing the week number and using start or end dates instead. For example, you could name a week "W/c 28 Apr 24," which stands for "Week commencing 28th April 2024."

    I hope this helps.
