In as much detail as possible, describe the problem or experience related to your idea. Please provide the context of what you were trying to do and include specific examples or workarounds:

When users wants to select specific subset of product that they own in their portfolio and plan against them, they would like to see the aggregated total for the selected products only based on their selection. Currently, it is not possible as if we enable the summary method as SUM, it will naturally aggregate all the products and gives incorrect information in the summary line. The possible workaround is to add the users dimension to the calculation and handle it by user, but it would impact the size and for some cases, we can't even accommodate this requirement due to the volume of the data.

How often is this impacting your users?

It is impacting their planning process as they have to manually extract the data and do the subtotaling offline.

Who is this impacting? (ex. model builders, solution architects, partners, admins, integration experts, business/end users, executive-level business users)

Business/end users, executive-level business users

What would your ideal solution be? How would it add value to your current experience?

Introduce new summary method as SUBTOTAL and link it to the user filter driver to show the subtotal of the products that the particular has selected. The Subtotal function available in the excel.

Please include any images to help illustrate your experience.
