Model Calendar vs Time Ranges

Hi,

My model calendar is currently using FY time with start period being Jul-June. For another module I need a time range that uses Calendar Year, Jan-Dec. I am not sure if it's possible. I tried the Time range function, but it defaults to Jul as a start period. Is there a way to accomplish this?

It's sort of possible, but not natively. Anaplan only supports one type of calendar per model. We have the exact same scenario.

The below thread touches on a few options, but you'll likely need to leverage 'Fake Time' to achieve what you're after.

Can you not use filters on the Native Time to show data for the Time Range being Jan→Dec? Yes, you would have an extra year for the native time range, but would that work? I guess the CY Total would be a bit more difficult which is why @luke_e went with the Customized Time list.

@luke_e & @rob_marshall, Thank you! With the use we have, I think I am better off completely creating a new model. It is an endowment module that will have a lot of calculations that are very much dependent on time ranges. Since this module, in terms of financials, is very isolated, I think a new model should be fine. Appreciate the quick responses.
