Anaplan optimizer - cumulate function

Hi guys,

We are currently working on an optimizer, and one of our constraints is a cumulative function (monthly quantity accumulation to consider). However, the optimizer doesn't handle the use of functions in its constraints well. Has anyone encountered this issue before? I can provide more details if needed.

FYI it works fine on excel so I am guessing this is a technical issue.

Hi,
You can arrive at the cumulate as another variable & then use it for further reference.

Here, the input qty is what I want to cumulate. V1 is the cumulated value of the input & C1 is the constraint use to achieve that.

Is it the month to year cumulation that you're looking at or a cumulated value for every month?

Can you please also attach the excel example here?

For some context : I am trying to assign values every month by respecting others constraints such as capacity and production and to avoid having these values assigned to random months I am using a cumulate function month by month.

The cumulative constraint ensures that the optimizer follows the production plan. If I have sufficient capacity in the first month, I don't want it to allocate everything to that month. To achieve this, we aim to minimize the gap between the cumulative sum of the "ideal" production plan and the cumulative sum of the variable assigned by the optimizer.
Below is an example of a production plan and the cumulative value I am trying to use.

Grid 1 = Production plan
Grid 2 = Cumulate production plan
