Common Reasons you cant add a dimension?

Hi all,

I have a very complex model. It won't let me add a Product dimension to it.

The processing time is so long (25 min) that it just times out and never gives me a reason.

I was wondering, what are common reasons you can't add a dimension to a module?

Hi Olek,

One possible reason is that when you add the product dimension to the module, it’s already one of the largest modules in your model, and that addition pushes the model size beyond the model size or workspace size limit.

How to test this:

1. Check your current model size.
2. Create a small list with just two items and try adding it as a dimension to the module.
3. If it works, check the model size again after the change.
4. Also, check your workspace size. If it’s not a HyperModel, the workspace limit is 130 GB. If you have only one model in the workspace, your size limit for that model is also 130 GB.
