Anaplan XL - write back

Hi,

I want to utilize the Anaplan XL - write back for the daily tasks, but I am not sure if my approach is possible (at least I can't think of a way to do it).

I have a table in an Excel sheet that contains all the calculations, and the final result is in row 10, for example. Then I create a grid that has the input line item. Is there a way that I can have the value in the input line item update automatically with a formula whenever the value in row 10 changes?

I know that the XL3Link can link these cells one-to-one, but I would need a more dynamic solution in case I need multiple lookups to find the correct value. Intermediate tables might solve the request, but I am wondering if the formula-based approach is possible? Thank you.

Anaplan's Excel Add-in (XL) does not natively support automatically updating a write-back cell with a formula's output. The XL3Link function is designed for a one-to-one, manual linking of cells, and it won't automatically push a new value to Anaplan when the source cell's formula result changes. While intermediate tables in Excel can help organize data for manual updates, a formula-based, dynamic write-back isn't a built-in feature. You would need to manually trigger the write-back after the formula calculation is complete. This is because the XL add-in is not designed to be a real-time listener for formula changes in Excel.

Thank you for the reply. I understand that the Excel add-in can do the write back just fine. But I want to utilize the report/table I create by XL Reporting, instead of creating a separate table just for input purpose. Is it still doable with XL Reporting?
