Count Unique Items Function

Hi,

I have 2 lists, 1 is products and 2 is numbering - see screenshot.

I have a module where it is dimensioned by product and the numbering and I want to count the number of unique values. Based on my screenshot, it should be 15.

I saw there was a formula - isfirstoccurrence, but I'm not completely sure how to use this.

Can someone please advise? Thanks

Hey, this is how you can solve this problem statement.

IFO Count line item is giving total unique value count (highlighted as yellow).

These are the formulas I've used. Don't miss to add summary as SUM for IFO Count line item.

Let's say we are entering the values in number, so convert it to text using TEXT function. You must be directly entering values in text format line item so ignore this step.

Use ISFIRSTOCCURRENCE function to find the uniqueness across numbers list.

Then IF ELSE formula to pick the count and put summary as SUM, to get the total unique values at top level.
