Rolling forecast

Hi , I have a requirement for my stakeholder to have a medium term forecast (by month for the next 6 months) and a more detailed rolling 15-week sales forecast by day which will then feed into the wider Supply Chain planning processes over time. This needs to be updated by the Sales representants for consolidation by the Group every Friday by 17 pm.

Can you please give me a suggestion on how I might construct the basic model in Anaplan for this requirement (focusing on the most likely lists and other structures needed)? I have some ideas but looking for others :)

Also can you give me some ideas on how should I approach the design of the UX for this requirement so that it captures all the information needed as simple and clear as possible for the users. Thanks

This is quite a big topic to cover in short post, but here are some high level pointers

• you can use boolean filters to display a rolling time period (and limit calculations if appropriate). Just set the current period (manual or via a scheduled load) and have a formula to tick that period and the next 15
• consider how you roll up weeks to months. Anaplan will map on a 4 or 5 weeks to a month, if you want calendar mapping you'll need to do some work to use number of days or a more sophisticated driver to allocate to months. Using a 'fake' time list can make the allocation easier but adds maintenance.
