Seems like the New UX is still missing the functionality to toggle on or off the ability for an end user to open up the "Source Module" from a card on a page. This was easy to control in classic dashboards but seems to not be possible to configure now in the New UX.
Hi,
Thanks for sharing the screenshots for context. In the New UX, the ability to toggle the “Open Source Module” directly on a card differs from Classic Dashboards. By default, cards in New UX do not have a universal toggle like Classic; instead, any user with access to the page can view data from the module, depending on their module-level access.
To control this:
Module Access: Users who don’t have view or edit access to the module won’t see the data, even if a card references it.
Card Menu Options: When configuring a card, you can uncheck “Open Source Module” in the card settings. This removes the direct link from the card toolbar.
So, while New UX doesn’t offer a single toggle equivalent to Classic Dashboards, you can achieve the same effect by combining module permissions and card menu configurations. Thanks

Can you share a screenshot where in the card configuration menu where the "Open Source Module" can be unchecked?
Hi @jwu ,
Do your users have WSA access? I am having the opposite issue, where my users want to be able to see Source Module but are unable to because they do not have WSA access. So, I actually want the ability to toggle the "View Source Module" on.
Because this functionality doesn't exist, they are needing to export the UX Grid to then figure out the name of the source module.
Similar to @Queenie H, our users want to be able to access the source modules, but can't unless they have WSA.
Recently tested with a few end-users, and it still shows the 'Source Module(s)' heading, but no modules appear.
Can be a bit misleading when testing as a model builder since you'll always be able to use this function.
@luke_e / @Queenie H - have you considered giving page builder access to users? We do this for super users who can help to debug issues more easily before coming to the CoE. Can then have the three dots link back to the module.
Hi @andrewtye - we looked into it, but it introduced another issue.. being that those users could start creating new pages (and we have a centralised model builder CoE with MyPages disabled).
The other problem was that we'd want all users to be able to do this, not just super users.
We've been back and forth with Anaplan over parity between classic and NUX but still ongoing..
Hi, I have a form action button that adds a L5 list item to a hierarchy. L5 does not have selective access but L4 does, but I still see all L4 list items in the dropdown when I trigger the form. How can I only view the ones I should have selective access to? L5 does not have selective access. L4 is also a selector on this…
For auditing purpose I need RTO and RPO details. Could you please share the details and also along with the source URL.
A quick reminder of the Bulk Copy functionality. Bulk Copy allows you copy large volumes of data from one slice of a model to another in a single, optimised operation, instead of using formulas or imports. Use case: copy a version (RF1) into a prior year version (PY RF1) using a versions list to allow for year-on-year…
