Hi Anaplanners,
I am hoping to collect some feedbacks from you on an ongoing discussion I've been having with my stakeholders.
My organization currently have 1 TQP model, which is focused on keep the model small and agile, and quick enough for about 200 managers to use to plan out their territories within a 5 weeks timeframe for the entire organization. At the end of the planning, an outbound report from the TQP model is send to the downstream team (completely separate team) where they use the data as the starting point to kick off their TQM process outside of Anaplan.
Recently, there has been an initiative to adopt TQM into Anaplan. However, we are trying to make the informed decision on if we use utilize 1 model or 2 models for both TQP and TQM.
Facts:
Model's Purpose:
TQP model is focused on providing the 200 sales managers the quickest model reaction time to plan out their territory. The model is build with simplicity in mind to minimize the user inputs as much as possible. No effective dating in TQP model so all the user changes are captured live and deemed final. The most granular level of this model is at the transaction level.
TQM model is focused on providing a process to allow sales managers to initiate change requests, and ability to obtain approvals on their change requests (via Workflow addon from Anaplan), and the ability to track detailed data with effective dating (include change requests raised, as well as actual changes with effective dating). The most granular level of this model is at the account level.
Users:
TQP model is used but a team that specializes in Territory Planning and quota management. It has less users than TQM model would have.
TQM model is used by a team that specializes in Territory Management (Mid Year). It has more users than TQP model.
