Is there any way to block the writeback functionality for some users?

I have this problem: I'm creating an AXL report, which will be distributed across members of a department. I need to know if is possible to block the writeback functionality for all members except the owner of the file to avoid accidental updates of data in Anaplan's modules. Thanks!

Hello, you should use Read-only connections in the Excel Add-in. When setting up the AXL report:

• The file owner (you) should create the connection as read-only.
• Then, share the Excel file with others.

This prevents others from sending updates to Anaplan even if they have workspace access.

When you connect to a view in the Add-in, choose:

“Import Data (Read-only)”
instead of
“Synchronize (Read/Write)”.

Once the report is set up this way, nobody — including the file owner — can write back via that connection.
