in my INV02 grid when I bring Product family in rows - it does not show 'Total products', unable to understand why.

This is possible either there is no "Total Product" top level item so they are not aggregating or there is a possible that there is a selection for the rows which dont show the top level and only leaf items , right click and select all to show so it will appear
