Update columns in a source

Hi, i have a source that uses a connection to Skutrak, and i selected 3 columns when i created the source, now i want to bring in a 4th column, do i have to recreate a source from scratch and then use that in a new transformation view and do all the work i did again, or can i update the source column selection, and add the 4th column?

I thought you were in the normal importing actions, not in ADO.

It's frustrating not having a way in ADO to change the structure and remap the columns for the same source. It seems, indeed, that we need to start from scratch :((.

Hi @kevin.stevenson : no need to create from scratch.

create a CSV file with exactly the same name that you find in Import Data sources tab from the Actions section that contain the 4 columns and using "New Source" → Uploading New File, re-upload the CSV file with the new structure. I usually always change the file as "Admins Only" in order not to loose the file structure after 72h.

The file uploaded will overwrite the previous file, without adding a new Import Data Sources, only if the file has the exact name as it's shown in the Import Data sources.

you can go back to the action and Edit the action and the 4th column will be available for the mapping and the other columns will remain with the existing mapping (also if you respect the file structure with the same column names as you had when you created the action in the first place).

Hi Alex, i dont see "New Source" in Data Orchestrator anywhere?
I can understand your logic for a normal Anaplan import as i have done that many times, but i can't see where in Orchestrator i can do this?
Are my ADO imports supposed to show up in the Model where the data is being imported?
I don't see any new import actions from the ADO system?
