Hi!
I would like to propose the creation of a new Administrator role within Anaplan.
Currently, the only way to manage users within a model (outside of the Administration tab) is by assigning the Workspace Administrator (WA) role. However, the WA role requires a Model Builder license, which is significantly more expensive than a standard user license. In addition, the WA role combines both development and administrative responsibilities.
I believe these responsibilities should be separated:
- Developers should focus on model building, enhancements, and technical development. This role should sit within the Tech team.
- Administrators should focus on user management and access control. This role should sit within the Business team.
Separating these roles would:
- Reduce licensing costs
- Improve governance and segregation of duties
- Empower the Business team to manage users and dashboard access independently (front-end management)
- Allow developers to focus on technical development activities
There is a user admin role who can Create and manage users within the tenant, we need the same but within model/workspace.
I propose creating a dedicated Administrator role that allows user management on dashboards without requiring a full Model Builder license.
Best regards
