Mapping LOOKUP

Anaplan Modeler

I have a Combined String list and a Combined String Properties module.

I also have a Mapped Flat List and a Mapping module.

I want to bring the mapping from the Mapping module to the Combined String Properties.

How do I do that? I know I should use a lookup, but I need help with the setup?

Ok, give this a shot…First, I really don't like Indexed lists (Row ID's) - I prefer real lists with members/codes but you might have that because you don't want to share real data.

Anyways, give this a shot, you have to add another module to get the index into A_B_C and then do a lookup on that from A_B_C_D

The new part, get the index into A_B_C

Then the last part, not only getting A_B_C_D index but also getting A_B_C index

Is that what you are needing/wanting?

If I am understanding you correctly, in the module with the row id's (1-8), you will need to piece the line items together and do a finditem() to the list of all of them together. Also, you will need to create a line item for the item(the number list you have, the 1-8) - call it Item. Then in the mapping line item, try using Module.Item[FirstNonBlank: the line item with the finditem defined]

Thank you for your response. I created the line items you described.

When I try to write Mapping.Item[FIRSTNONBLANK: Mapping.'A_B_C [List]'] formula, I get this error.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi Rob,

Thanks for taking the time to replicate the modules and lists. Really appreciate it.

I noticed that I didn't emphasize this well.

My combined string is A_B_C_D but my index number is mapped to A_B_C.

The combination of A, B, and C lists determine the index. But the module I try to pull has A, B, C, and D lists.
