Workspace size

Monitoring the size of the workspace is crucial in Anaplan, since you must not exceed the allocated size. In general, what advice do you have?

1)Keep modules clean and purpose-driven Avoid mixing calculations + data → reduces unnecessary space usage as part of following Disco Methodology

2) avoid using unnecessary Dimensions so that we can avoid un necessary calclation ,

• Every list item = one dimension value
• Anaplan stores data for every combination
• Even if data is empty → space is still allocated
  (this is called sparsity problem)

3)avoid duplicateitems ,unused items because

• Same product repeated → doubles data storage .No business value,but it occupy space waste

• with un used items No data, but still part of dimension

• Still contributes to cell count

• use Flat Lists if possible Flat List (Better when possible)

• Simple structure

• Less overhead

• 🔹 Numbered List (Costly)

• It Stores:Index,Display name,Properties

• So: Numbered lists consume more space than flat lists
