We have a question regarding the behavior of the XL3dowriteback formula.
Our understanding is that this formula allows writeback to be controlled on a cell-by-cell basis. In our operation, when we need to clear a previously written-back value due to an input error or similar reason, we do so by entering 0.
However, when using AnaplanXL version 2601, we have found that if 0 is entered in a cell and a writeback is submitted using the XL3dowriteback formula, we are unable to overwrite existing values by entering 0 .
By contrast, when using AnaplanXL version 2505 or When we publish same Excel and the same steps are followed using the XL3dowriteback formula, existing values can be overwritten. In addition, values other than 0 — including negative values and decimals — are written back successfully.
AnaplanXL version | Excel or Web | write back 0 |
|---|
V2601 | Excel | NG |
V2601 | Web | OK |
v2505 | Excel | OK |
Question
1,Is it expected that the behavior differs between Excel and Web when using the same version?
2,What is the expected behavior when overwriting values with 0 using the formula? (We can overwrite with 0 by using writeback the entire grid)
3,Could you please advise if there are any alternative ways to delete values that have already been entered via Excel?
4,If this is identified as a bug, could you please let us know when a fix is expected?
We would appreciate it if you could answer these question.
