Cannot sort concatenated list – line item not available in Action

Hi ALL,

I have a concatenated list made of Product> Country>Vendor, where the same product appears multiple times with different countries.

To make it readable, I used Product as the Display Name in the list.

Then I created a module dimensioned by this concatenated list and added a text-formatted line item using the Display Name (Product).

Now I’m trying to create an Action (Sort List), but in the “Select Line Item” dropdown, my Product line item is not showing at all.

My questions:

Why is the line item from my module not available for sorting?

Is it because of the way I’m using a concatenated list / display name?

What is the correct approach to sort a list like Product–Country combinations in Anaplan?

Any guidance or best practice would be really helpful.

Hi @andrewtye,

Thank you for the response. I just realised my line item was versioned, which is why Anaplan wasn’t showing anything in the dropdown. After removing the version dimension, it worked as expected.

Interesting - I have a list that's similar. Three dimensions combined together and then i've recreated what you appear to be doing.

Maybe try having the sorted line item being all three of the dimensions merged together?
