Regional Vice President role

Hi All,

I have a question regarding the Regional Vice President role setup in the Supply Chain model.

The activity says to grant Read/Write access on the Users → Roles → Modules tab for the new role. However, it only explicitly mentions the UX page “Distribution Center Summary” and does not specify which modules should be given access.

Should we:

1. Grant Read access only to the modules directly used by the Distribution Center Summary UX page?
   or
2. Grant access to additional supporting SYS/INV modules as well?

Also, is there a recommended way in the training model to identify all modules used by a UX page?

In the training model you usually only need to give Read/Write access to the modules that directly feed the “Distribution Center Summary” UX page, since that is the scope of the activity. SYS/INV modules should be hidden unless the page explicitly pulls data from them, best practice is to keep access minimal. To see what modules a UX page uses, open the nipr com page in the UX, and look at the source modules/views of the cards, and then work back through the model to see what depends on what. This allows you to expose only enough access for functionality without exposing additional system modules.
