Combined grids with the same module

I would like a combined grid with Customer-Products, Sales history up top the current week and and Forecast data for the future weeks.
The Sales History and the Forecast are in the same module, dimensioned by Customer-Product and weeks. I can filter the columns in grid2 and grid3 to show past and future weeks as required, but I cannot see a way of Grid 2 and Grid 3 showing a different line item in each grid, ideally Grid 2 showing SALES and GRID3 showing FORECAST.
Does this mean I have to create another module just to house the sales history, so the combined grid works?

Yes, it's possible by creating a reporting module. Use a single line item (e.g., Value) with logic such as:

IF Week <= Current Week THEN Sales ELSE Forecast

This combines Sales History and Forecast into one view and can be published as a single grid. For this requirement, a reporting/staging module is typically the best approach.
