Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a way to retrieve the current date (today's date) directly within an Anaplan model, without importing it from another model or module.

We're facing an issue because our application is used by teams across multiple regions and time zones. For example, users in one region may have already moved into the next day, while others are still on the previous day. As a result, calculations date that rely on the current date can be inconsistent, with some users still seeing yesterday's date.

Is there any native way in Anaplan to dynamically return the current date based on the user's session or time zone? Or is importing the date from an external process still the only supported approach?

I'd appreciate any recommendations or best practices you've used to solve this kind of issue.

No, Anaplan does not have a native function to dynamically return the current system date (TODAY()) or the current date based on a user's session or time zone.

Best practice:
Create a small system module (e.g., SYS Current Date) with a Date-formatted line item.
Update it daily (or more frequently if needed) through an automated integration.
Reference this line item throughout your model instead of hardcoding dates.
