Mismatch on common dimensions

Hello,

Would anyone be able to advise why (in very simple terms) when we add CC7 (a mapping list) to the applies to of the value row, we get the error "Mismatch on common dimensions". The LIS used by this module picks up line items from FS1-Regional which in its-self has CC7 as an applies to dimension.

I'm having a hard time following the screenshot and context you gave.

An easy way to check where the issue lies: create a duplicate line item for "value" and change the dimensionality (applies to) of it. If the formula is accepted then you know the issue downstream (line items that reference "value"), if it breaks then you know the issue is upstream (the formula for "value" is not supporting the new dimensionality based on things it is referencing).

If the issue is upstream you need to evaluate the source. If the issue is upstream, you likely have a formula using an improper sum/lookup or lower dimensionality CC8 maybe?

Hi, in the applies to in the module in the screenshot the applies to are:

Specifically the value line:

P&L LIS is derived from FS1 Detailed Income Statement below:

Some context for what we are trying to do is we are shifting to a new cost centre / division reporting structure whilst trying to maintain the old structure, essentially trying to copy and augment reports from the core/origional FS1 but by mapping it by a new cost centre roll up CC7 and CC8

Im assuming the issue is that the core FS1 is mapped or has CC4 in the applies to which is disconnected from CC7 and CC8 in our parent hierarchy??

HI @SamuelWood , it isn't clear from this screenshot but there are 2 potential issues I could see:

* The LIS being "Collected" has another level being used (based on your note this isn't the case)
*  "Value" is referenced by another line item that utilizes the CC7 hierarchy but at a different level

Does your "referenced by" column to the right of what's in the view of the screenshot include additional line items that are in another module?

Can you screenshot the dimensionality of the source so we can ensure that isn't the issue?
