Any Way to get Process IDs Without Postman?

Question

Since Anaplan inexplicably refuses to put process ID as a backend field (like on the actions panel where it would make perfect sense) + has now deprecated the way you used to be able to get it in the browser, how are folks getting this information now? My company has limited postman licenses and does not want to be granting them solely so someone can pull a process ID. As far as im aware, Postman (or a like tool) + integration API calls is the only way to do this now.

Based on my understanding, Anaplan Connect does not require running any .exe installer. The primary prerequisite is having a supported Java version installed and configured on the system.

Anaplan Connect is provided as a package that can be downloaded from Anapedia. Once downloaded, it can simply be extracted and stored in any preferred directory, and then utilized as needed through the provided scripts and configuration files.

While there may be other download links available online, those are generally not the recommended approach from Anaplan. It is advisable to use the official Anapedia documentation and download sources to ensure compatibility, supportability, and access to the latest approved version.

Also, I don't believe there are any restrictions from the client side preventing this setup. You may want to explore possible workarounds within your environment, such as validating Java installation, checking path variables, permissions, or local execution policies.

- In one of my previous projects, I worked as an external user for the client.

- I worked with Anaplan Connect, including connecting to the client’s workspace and server.

- Based on my experience, I did not encounter any specific restrictions on utilizing Anaplan Connect.

@SIVAPRASADPERAM yup, can definitely get via connect as well. But again, the problem becomes what happens if you dont have anaplan connect installed? What if it's a client and you are not approved to install it on any of their servers? Yes I could theoretically add myself as an exception user → install anaplan connect locally → get it that way, but that's also a terrible design practice and might even require me breaking client security policies to make me an exception user in the first place.

Bottom line, Anaplan should just expose this on the actions page and unhide the column that clearly already exists

Alternate approach:

Install Anaplan Connect on your system and create sample batch scripts for Process, Import, and Export actions. To create these scripts, the mandatory parameters are Workspace ID, Model ID, and the Import, Export, or Process action name. Execute the scripts to verify connectivity and retrieve the IDs required for the respective actions.
