I am getting this error message, how can I investigate this? Where should I start looking to fix this step so that it can continue ? Any suggesitons are highly appreciated.
Why did you keep your L2 training model in deployed mode? The L2 model is not required to be deployed, so you changed it to Standard mode and started the investigation.
looks like your current model - the list is not enabled as a Production List, which is why you're getting the error.
Hi Steve, Looking at the error message seems like an ALM issue, the list might not have marked as production data. here are two options that you can check
Mark the List as Production Data
If P2 Products should be maintained by imports in production:
Open the Development Model > Go to General Lists. >Select P2 Products. >Check whether Production Data is enabled. > If not: Set the list as Production Data. > Synchronize the change from Development to Production using ALM. > Re-run the import.
Switch the Model to Standard Mode
If you need to make a one-time structural change:
Open the target model.
Go to Manage Models
Change Mode from Deployed to Standard. > Run the import. > Optionally return the model to Deployed Mode.
Note: this breaks might break the normal ALM deployment process , so use this carefully but it should get resolved with first option.
Thanks. I later researched and found that be the issue and fixed it.
Steve
Yes, I later researched after the post and found out to be the issue.
Thanks for the quick response,
Sounds good!
This is an ALM configuration issue: the process is trying to create items in P2 Products, but that list is not marked as Production Data. In the development model, enable Production Data for the list, sync the change to production, and rerun the process. Avoid switching the deployed model to Standard mode unless a genuine structural change is required.

Hi everyone 👋 If you build or maintain Anaplan models, you've probably hit the same walls I kept hitting. Some basic questions about a model's structure have no single screen to answer them. You end up clicking through modules and pages one by one, or writing API scripts just to get a list. These were the gaps that…
Hi Everyone, We have a requirement in Anaplan Consolidation & Reporting (Fluence) where the Entity Structure needs to change effective January 2026. The key requirement is that the existing entity structure should continue to be applicable for all reporting and consolidation periods through December 2025, while the new…
We've been building a tool called aplan4sheets and we'd genuinely like input from this community — both on what we've built so far and on what we should prioritize next. The problem we set out to solve: Anaplan's Excel add-in is Windows-centric, and there's no real native way to pivot Anaplan data in Google Sheets. We…
