Allow OFFSET calculation in version formula

Allow OFFSET to be used on summary line item formatted as Formula.

 

Impact/Benefit:
I am trying to calculate a percentage change from prior year or prior quarter at the summary level. For example, year-over-year % changes using a formula at the aggregated level: Total Growth in Net Sales / OFFSET(Net Sales, -1, 0).
A previous resolution provided was to put the OFFSET function on a different line, and make a reference line item a Formula summary. However this would substantially increase the amount of line items that I would need as I would need to have two lines for every single growth metric.

I am agree, we have modules that can have bilions of cells and add a new line item to calculate just the Year over Year growth can decrease the availability of space, i think that have formula combined with offset in the summary method could be very helpfull
