Hello,
Please, help me
I have created the module FX01 Currency Rates, but I'm troubling the import data to the module.
I have the following selections, don't understand why it does not work
but it gives the error
Hope you will help!
Thank you,
Anton
Hi @tonybol
The error is due to the Timescale in CSV not getting mapped to the Anaplan Timescale.
Use Custom Fixed-Position Pattern as highlighted in the screenshot below.
In the Box you need to type the same format as it's in the CSV.
In this case format should be :- YY-MMM
Edit the Action , update and RUN.

Hi @abhi1017 !I have the same problem and I tried to solve it as you said - by using Custom Fixed-Position Pattern - YY-MMM.
But it is still an error. Could you please help me find the mistake? Please see screens below.
Thanks!
Hi @NatalyaG ,
Pls share screenshot of the Mapping tab in the import action to help you better.
Hi @abhi1017 !Yes, sure, please find screens below:
Hi @NatalyaG
Everything seems fine as per depicted in screenshot.
Could you pls. share screenshot of the module where you are trying the import the FX data.
Just want to check:-
1. If you are not importing data while in blue print view.
2. Are the dimensions pivoted properly for import.
Hi @abhi1017 !
Yes, sure, please find screens below: Regarding 1st assumption: it's not blueprint view.. :
Maybe the problem is in the list "Country Currency" used in a module? This list looks like:
When importing Country local Currencies.csv into the Country Currency List maybe there was a problem with duplicate values.. Please see my mapping there:
But the importing was resolved in no errors..
So for now I have no other assumptions on what can be wrong..
@NatalyaG
Is it mentioned in the course that currency is a child of country.?
Check this.
I think you just need to create a module dimensioned by currency list (Flat list) ,time and rates(lineitem).
The country data is provided to map country to the local currency.
I tried to do as you said: I created module dimensioned by currency list (I created Flat list), time and rate (line item).
But there is still an error.. I'm desperate..
Are you sure it should be Custom fixed-position pattern - YY-MMM?..
I even don't know what else can be wrong..
Screens are below:

Please set Time tab as Periods and Patterns with Separators as Y-M in import screen. Reason is if we open the currency rate file in notepad then we can see date format is like '19-Jan , 19-Feb' hence format should be Y-M.
Hi!
I finally found the solution!
The settings for mapping should be - Periods - Y-M:
Hi @rajuvendra01 !
I have already found the same solution!
Thanks a lot anyway!
Have you tried using the Anaplan provided Time mapping options or directly used Custom fixed pattern in import action.?
If directly used Custom option , please try Y-M option provided by default.
Custom fixed pattern are to be used only when defaults options do not work for mapping because this is like hard coding.
Yes, I just found the solution - using Y-M (and setting language).
Thanks a lot for your help!
U should change the language to english in the time tab
Use a custom view and type YY?MMM
With this it works fine.
I have done with the import now, may be it helps you moving further on the exercise.
1st attachment shows the final result once you done with the import.
To get that import done successfully, please look at the mapping in screen shot 2. Other 2 mappings are easy so just attached the time period mapping.
But before that you should have sys03 module updated like this in the 3rd screen shot attached.
To get that overview in SYS03, you should have currency conversion list updated like this. attached screen shot.
While importing data into currency conversion list, please keep blank for country mapping and also remove 3 extra euros.
Hope this will helpful?
I have A6 as the parent list and two sibling lists: A6.5 and A7. The A7 list includes an attribute that maps to A6.5. In the UX, the user will select A6.5 using a content selector, and the grid (dimensioned by A7) should display only the A7 items associated with that selected A6.5. Since the selector is a page context and…
A quick reminder of the Bulk Copy functionality. Bulk Copy allows you copy large volumes of data from one slice of a model to another in a single, optimised operation, instead of using formulas or imports. Use case: copy a version (RF1) into a prior year version (PY RF1) using a versions list to allow for year-on-year…
