Yes, Anaplan certifications are free. Apply for free workspace using the link below. Then you can do Level 1 and Level 2 certification and become a certified Model Builder. This might take more than 6-8 weeks to complete. In Order to apply for free workspace, you need to complete a small course called The Anaplan Way. Link is there below. Check the prerequisites.

But you need to make some progress in certification, or need to have some activity in the workspace. Otherwise they can take it back if you're not using the workspace actively.

@Dikshant I see a limit of 90 days, is there any way to request for an extension if you're unable to complete it within the duration?
You can email them and get extension for few weeks. Or Request for another workspace from different credentials.
